About the ASTA

 The Alabama State Trapshooting Association is a non-profit Association dedicated to
 providing a safe and fun shooting environment for its members. Our Association does
 not discriminate based on sex, color or creed.
 
 Our organization is a state affiliate of the Amateur Trap Association (ATA).
 
 We encourage our membership to enjoy the sport of trapshooting. Whether you be a
 novice or an accomplished marksman,  trapshooting has a place for you.  Similar to
 golf, trapshooters are classified based on their skill level. Therefore, as a person
 becomes more proficient at the sport, their classification levels will change. Our
 sport has a special category for young shooters  (click the AIM Program button) as
 well as Lady, Veteran and Senior Veteran.

 Member Gun clubs sponsor regularly scheduled registered shoots as well as amble
 practice opportunities. You may find more shoot information under the Shoot Calendar
 button on our web site and/or Gun Club information for a range near you under the
 Member Ranges button.

 Our Association also sponsors a State Shoot each year and this years shoot was at
 Dixie Trap & Skeet 689 Pugh Rd. Mathews, Al. June 3 thru 6th 2010 and hosted 192
